PATIENT EVIDENCE & CONSULTATION GUIDE

Hair loss needs classification

Pattern hair loss, inflammatory scalp disease, shedding after illness and scarring alopecia need different approaches. A scalp examination and appropriate history should precede a procedure recommendation. A treatment said to reactivate follicles may be irrelevant if the main problem is an untreated inflammatory condition or a different cause of shedding.

Separate the intervention labels

Platelet-rich plasma, exosome products, conditioned media and living-cell preparations are distinct. A hair transplant moves follicles and is also different from injecting a product into the scalp. Ask the clinic to identify the treatment precisely and explain the evidence for your diagnosis rather than presenting all regenerative methods as equivalent.

Measure change over a sensible interval

Hair growth cycles make short-term impressions unreliable. Ask for standardized photographs, a defined scalp area and an appropriate follow-up schedule. Changes in styling, hair length or lighting can produce an apparent improvement without greater density. A convincing assessment should also record continued shedding and any additional medicines.

Compare with dermatology care

Discuss established medical and surgical options with a clinician who treats hair disorders. Ask about maintenance, repeat sessions, adverse effects and the plan if the response is limited. If you travel to Korea, make sure follow-up can be documented consistently at home rather than depending solely on a brief post-procedure visit.
